Apple today launched yet another version of the iPhone 5C with 8GB storage capacity in India. iPhone 5S & iPhone 5C models were already made available a few months ago. The new 8GB iPhone 5C will be available in the market over a next few days.
The same 8GB version of the phone was already made available in the UK & France with carrier partnerships through O2 & SFR.
Heavy pricing of Apple devices in India is still a bigger challenge for the company & no wonder, other manufacturers are stealing the show completely. Despite lowering the iPhone 5C storage, the pricing still looks out of proportion & makes no real sense to buy this one.
The pricing game has changed significantly after the launch of Motorola G & Motorola E in India; even Samsung had to bring down the Galaxy S5 price to keep consumers happy with the price tag.
iPhone 5C Price in India
The colorful iPhone 5C – 8GB model is priced at an MRP of Rs. 37,500 & the phone should be retailed at somewhere for Rs. 33,000 when in stores.
The 16GB model is priced at Rs. 41900 & is available for purchase at approx. price of Rs. 36500 across stores. The iPhone 5S or the iPhone 5C are being at somewhere between Rs. 36,000 to Rs. 62,000 for various models.
iPhone 5C features a 4 inch Retina display, has same internal hardware as iPhone 5, A6 processor, 8MP main camera with flash & a 1.2MP front camera. The phone is available having a back panel in 5 different colors with a glossy finish.
Apple previously attempted to sell the 8GB variants for iPhone 3GS & iPhone 4S but, I don’t think buying an 8GB phone without any external storage support is a good idea; especially when the phone is powered with 8MP camera & is more likely to be used as music player too.
When you buy an 8GB iPhone with the new IOS 7 – the actual usable disk space is approx. 6.7GB, which is definitely less for many of us. If you’re looking to buy the new iPhone 5C 8GB model in India, at this hefty price, be sure to ask us any questions that you may have.
