Are you not listening to the ‘tablet’ word more often lately? Well then, welcome to the war of tablets.
To heat it up and power display their strengths and talent, Taiwan based handset manufacturer – HTC, launched their full touch tablet HTC Flyer in India today. The newly launched device is said to create a whole new experience but how much, that the buyer will tell.
HTC Flyer as clearly is an HTC’s entry into the tablet war in the country (and around the World) to compete with Samsung Galaxy S Tablet, BlackBerry Playbook and Apple iPad 2, Motorola Xoom and Huawei’s MediaPad (soon to be launched)
Let’s have a look at some of the details.
About HTC Flyer
A sleek aluminum unibody, the HTC Flyer tablet exudes the iconic style and build quality HTC is known for. It is also ultra-light, weighing as little as a paperback book, and compact enough to fit in a jacket pocket only. With a seven-inch display, lightning fast 1.5Ghz processor and high-speed HSPA+ wireless capabilities, the HTC Flyer tablet is perfect for those who have waited for a tablet that is both compact and powerful.
What’s new in HTC Flyer
HTC Scribe Technology
Touch interaction lights up the HTC Flyer tablet experience, but it also offers a groundbreaking pen experience. With the new HTC Scribe Technology on the HTC Flyer tablet, people can rediscover the natural act of writing. HTC Scribe Technology introduces a wave of integrated digital ink innovations that make it easy and natural to take notes, sign contracts, draw pictures, or even write on a web page or photo.

The HTC Flyer tablet premieres HTC Watch, HTC’s new video download service. HTC Flyer Video Demo
This seems like an interesting device to me especially due to high-speed processor and RAM. The Magic Pen is also an interesting add-on to this tablet which would be very handy for many of us.
The price band is way too high but can be justified with the specs except that the screen size could have been 10 inches which would have created more chances for this device to win the battle.
This is the first mobile device that I found to have Bluetooth 3 which was launched 1 year ago. Get ready to see more exciting high-speed Bluetooth 3 devices and don’t get surprised if your new TV comes with a Bluetooth remote.
How long will it sustain and how much popularity will it gain? Well, that’s you’re going to tell me (If you demo or buy this one)
