IDEA Cellular Android Mobile ZTE Blade 3391, Huawei ID-280, should you buy?

Mobile carriers bringing handsets in the market is a new trend picking-up in India while the rest of the world is doing it since years. Indian carriers have started using it as good marketing option to promote 3G services. Idea Cellular is too not an exception and they brought-in two low-cost Android powered handsets to promote IDEA 3G services. These handsets are being re-branded under Idea. The original handsets are ZTE Blade and Huawei ID-280.

I never liked ZTE hardware (this is why I never talked about Reliance tablet) and I am not a Huawei fan club member when it comes to mobile handsets.

These Idea 3G smart phones are available in most of the circles except for Orissa, Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab

Negative points: Hardware configuration isn’t all that good compared to other available options in the market. I am also not sure if we can upgrade it to Android Gingerbread.

Alternatives: Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 and Dell XCD35

Note

IDEA 3G benefits of worth Rs, 3500 is probably the only advantage in these deals. Please make sure to demo these handsets before your eyes, before you buy. I would rather spend this amount on other mobile brands.
