XOLO launched the XOLO Q500 quad-core smart phone, offering the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 200 processor from Qualcomm Technologies. XOLO Q500 comes with the X-TransPic mobile app, an offline translation tool which will assist users convert Hindi words simply by pointing camera from the app at any sign board, an advert or a poster. It also works without an Internet connection which is a plus.

The company also said that, the X-TransPic app will be available on all XOLO’s upcoming Snapdragon devices & more features would be added as an ongoing effort to offer better products to its consumers.



About X-TransPic App in XOLO Q500

The app is developed particularly for its Indian users; X-TransPic can help go beyond typical language limitations encountered by travelers, as well as within the city if a new resident is not well-versed with Hindi text.

X-TransPic will shoot and identify the embedded Hindi written text and then convert Hindi words to the English language, or read out the recognized text using text to speech functionality within the app. Furthermore, using the ‘point and grab’ function, detected Hindi text can easily be used for an Internet search or sent as SMS with no need to type it.
