Every time a new technological trend is on a rise, analysts start with how much will earn in a year! They dissect, they discourage & start predicting its failure first than its success… and this time its Apple again who is about to bring that new change yet again. Apple earlier changed the way how mobiles were thought of and the journey from original iPhone to the new iPhone has been fascinating. The era that doesn’t seem to end anytime soon and already the company is working on the new TV, iWatch and other products.
According to many rumors, next revolutionary product from Apple is expected to be an iWatch. Now I will tell you here how this iWatch will defer from our traditional watch.
Since many years people are thinking that the iPod Nano or Shuffle should be replaced by a watch. The idea penetrated into our minds by introducing wrist-watch bands for smallest iPods… Hence, this watch will have a touch-screen and it can be used to check time and listen to music, but Apple seems to provide more features.
Apple is going to bring up most generalized features from smartphone into the iWatch. You can easily connect iWatch with your Apple device and then your phone calls, text messages can be read &will be synchronized while offer you notifications on the watch itself so that, we will not need to take our iPhones out from our pockets, whereas the default screen would show you the clock.
It will have few apps at the home screen using which you can control or access the synchronized data. The display size will be perfect so that it fits on every hand. It is expected to be around 1.5 inches diagonally.
Apple may provide it with a strap or may not, nothing is officially declared by the company – yet but I am sure it will at least replace the iPod Shuffle.
It’s also firmly believed that, the iWatch will be waterproof and shockproof so that,we don’t need to worry about using the watch on a daily basis, just like any other good wrist watches in the market.
It will have Messages app and a Phone app to be able to easily operate these two most commonly used functions without getting the iPhone out of the pocket. Just because of these kind of functions the iWatch may have iCloud integration, Find My iPhone as well in addition to pairing it using Bluetooth. All this will run on a specially designed iOS.
It’s also believed to have Settings app and internal storage options to be able store plenty of content on-the-go.
One of these apps could be the Music app one as it will be great to play music via iWatch. Apple might take a step forward with these devices and stop focusing on other smaller MP3 players. You can just put on the iWatch on your wrist and walk across streets listening to your favorite numbers. So it will also have a 3.5mm audio jack and of course Bluetooth headsets as an accessory. Having 3.5mm jack on iWatch however seems like an UGLY idea because it would be practically difficult to use.
Apple might also provide the Facebook and Twitter integration on iWatch, however supporting these FULL featured apps seems difficult. I think they might integrate these system-wide for many other features.
Many people are keeping the buzz going on that iWatch will also have a projector feature using which the content can be transferred to any wall but I don’t think Apple will go for that. Apple has always been known and popular for keeping things simple and people don’t need to have projector in their watch.
Apple has submitted a patent for iWatch and has following part in the abstract
“The wearable accessory device includes a flexible display coupled to a bi-stable spring. Coupling the display to the bi-stable spring allows the accessory device to be easily worn in a number of convenient locations.”
Also as per the patent document, the iWatch will look more like a bracelet than a wristwatch that, features integrated flexible display for the watch dial. However, many analysts also believe that the flexible display is at least three years away to come into production or mass use.
Forbes is confident about Apple bringing billion more revenue to the company every year with the new watch. But, I would rather not believe in what analysts believe as they were mostly wrong on many occasions.
Sony has already launched a wrist-watch that is compatible with many Android phones – but their watch failed big time getting to the consumers. All the users kept complaining it’s functionality and ability to do that’s promised. So, Apple will surely like to get on top of the situation and launch iWatch on any date in Q2 or Q3 this year. The price for iWatch is expected to be like iPod Nano.
According to many online reports – Apple has already gathered a team of 100 best designers and programmers to work on this project.
Worst Things about the iWatches?
Well, this may be too early to disregard anything about it but the worst thing could be a need for charging. The iWatch is said to come with a microUSB port for charging and data sync but the iWatch will be more perfect if Apple provides a backup battery inside so that we don’t need to panic every now when we’re truly mobile.
We will keep you updated with the latest happenings on iWatch soon, meanwhile do share with us your thoughts in comments.
